Examination Schedule & Evaluation

Continuous evaluation of students performance and progress is a special feature of GBIST. It is done through month-end tests and terminal examinations in the first year. Besides month-end examinations. pre-test. test and very similar tests are conducted in the second year class. Promotion of students to 2nd year and sending them to appear at the CHSE examination depend on the cumulative result of these various examinations.

The details are mentioned in Examination Rules stated separately. Progress reports of students showing their performance in the diferent examinations, general progress. attendance, health condition, conduct and Behaviour etc., are maintained by the college. Regular faculty meetings are held to monitor the academic progress of the students. Special attention is given to the weak students by arranging Personal coaching in different subjects. OB1ST is committed to retain the career of each student.

EXAMINATION RULES

  1. There is a monthly test on last week of every month.
  2. The Monthly tests in Sept. and Dec. are called quarterly tests.
  3. (i) The monthly tests for I” year in March is merged with Annual Eamin*t1on.(ii) The monthly test for 2’ year in September and November is regarded as Pretest and Test exams respectively. (iii) Annual Examination for 1 year class and Test examination for 2 year class consist of both Theory & Practical papers.
  4. It is mandatory un the part ofevety student to take up all the examinations conductedby the college. i.e. monthly tests, half yearly exam, Annual exam, Pre-test & Test exam. and other exams (if any).
    Disciplinary action shall be taken against the students to remain absent from any of the examinations. Such action may be by ay of imposing a tine or in any manner which the staff council shall decide.
  5. (i) A student of 1st year is promoted to 2nd year if he/she secures at least 35% inaggregate in all examinations (monthly I half yearly I annual) taken together.
    (ii) A student of 2nd year is sent up for CHSE exam if he/she secures at least 35% in aggregate of all examinations (Monthly I Pre-test / Test) taken together. in above case (i) & (ii), another examination shall be conducted for those students who fail to secure 35% at minimum. Failure to secure minimum 35% in this examination shall lead to the detention in the same class. He/ She has to apply for re-admission to the same class within specified time.
  6. There shall be a preparatory period of 05 days before the half yearly , pre-test examinations and 07 days before the Annual / Test examination.

Take a tour

Note that the tours are booked well in advance and only a certain number of parents can be accommodated on each tour on first come first serve basis.

Also it should be noted that the tour does not guarantee that the child will be accepted in the school as this depends on the availability and also the eligibility of the child.
